Tehran(IP) - The Managing director of the railways of the Islamic Republic of Iran Saeed Rasouli said that amid coronavirus outbreak a group of specialists was tasked to fight against this disease and similar ones.

Iran PressIran News: Saeed Rasouli in an exclusive interview with Iran Press noted that to protect the passengers and staff and observe social distancing, only half of the capacity of each wagon is sold and this process is being monitored.

Regarding the cargo transport, Rasouli said that disinfection is done through creating tunnels for trains in Iranian borders, namely Razi and Astara borders which are open and the transition is on the process

"All our boarders Sarakhs, Mirjeveh, and Inchebrun are open now, he highlighted.

All health protocols are being observed in trains and this action has been honored by the ministry of health and International Union of Railways(UIC), and the Iranian railway is now a member of the COVID-19 group and other countries benefit from Iran’s experience in this regard, he concluded.
