Tehran (IP) - Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif's letter had reached the European Union's foreign policy chief and Iran is currently awaiting the outcome of Boreel consultations with other JCPOA members.

Iran Press/Iran News: Political deputy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Abbas Araghchi on Monday, referring to the letter of the Minister of Foreign Affairs to the European Union's foreign policy chief Josep Borrell noted that Iran's letter has been received, and Josep Borrell, as coordinator of the Joint Commission, is consulting with other members to decide how to hold a meeting following Iran's letter.

Regarding the time of the meeting, the Deputy Foreign Minister added that there is a deadline for this meeting and now. Borrell is consulting with various members. We are waiting for the outcome of consultations between the EU foreign policy chief and the JCPOA coordinator.

If a member of the JCPOA does not fulfill its obligations or violates its commitments in the JCPOA, the other party can file a complaint to the Joint Commission based on the dispute resolution mechanism, Araghchi said.

Iranian diplomat stated that we believe that what the three European countries have done is somehow against their commitments in the JCPOA, and we have informed the Joint Commission about this, and the Joint Commission will take decisions on the reactions.

The Deputy Foreign Minister said: "We are currently in the stage of briefing and we have activated this mechanism so that the Joint Commission is informed of Iran's views that the three European countries have violated their obligations in the JCPOA."
