Iran Press/Iran News: Ali Salehi said on Thursday that 8 foreign fishermen were detained, who were fishing through trawl method which is considered illegal.
In the inspection of the vessels, 40 tons of fish with a value of over 60 billion Rials were discovered, Salehi added.
The trawl is a funnel-shaped fishing net that fishermen use by pulling it into the water by one or more vessels to get fish in an extensive manner.
