Tehran (IP) - Following a phone talk with Foreign Policy Advisor to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Hikmat Hajiyev on Wednesday, Iranian President's Chief of Staff released a tweet in the Azeri language, saying that Iran and Azerbaijan relationship is deep and long-lasting.

Iran Press/Iran news: "The expansion of economic relations and development of comprehensive Tehran-Baku cooperation to fight against the coronavirus were the subjects of the telephone conversation with the Foreign Policy Advisor to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan," Mahmoud Vaezi wrote. 

Iranian President’s Chief of Staff added that the friendship between Tehran and Baku is tense and long-standing.

In the telephone conversation, the two sides expressed satisfaction with the growing trend of Tehran-Baku cooperation, especially in the economic field, and discussed ways to further expand these relations and cooperation.
