Chabahar exports 3k tons of aquatics to 11 countries

Chabahar (IP) - In the past year, over three thousand tons of edible and unusual edible aquatics and shrimp have been exported from Chabahar port of this province to 11 countries.

Iran PressIran news: Mohammad Shahlibar, Director General of Fisheries of Sistan and Baluchestan Province, said on Sunday that aquatics would be exported from the port of Chabahar to Malaysia, Hong Kong, UAE, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Taiwan, Pakistan, Russia, and Oman.

According to Shahlibar, Chabahar and Konarak ports account for 40 percent of Iran's fishing share and supply more than 60 to 70 percent of industrial fish, playing an important role in creating jobs and the Iranian economy.

Chabahar port, with its 300 km water border in the Oman Sea as the only ocean ports in Iran, outside the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz on the shores of the Makran Sea (Oman), has a very important role in developing trade, export, and import of goods and fishing.
