Iran Press/ Iran news: "Iran's stance on supporting the Syrian people with the aim of confronting divisive schemes is unchangeable," Javad Torkabadi said.
"We support the Syrian people's efforts and the solution that they agreed on, to way out of the crisis" the ambassador added.
"All of this unchangeable stance stems from the view that Iran has a duty to uphold the sovereignty and integrity of Syria" the diplomat added.
The Iranian ambassador said the bilateral economic cooperation between Iran and Syria was based on the two countries' agreement.
"We share a common destiny. Both nations face a similar conspiracy of the enemy. The enemy who is trying to bring the nations to their knees by exerting political pressure and economic blockade, but we are confident that both nations will overcome difficulties," Iran's ambassador to Syria Javad Torkabadi said.
