Tehran (IP) - The Foreign Ministry spokesman announced that the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy will visit Tehran on Monday for the first time since taking office.

Iran Press/Iran News: The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell is scheduled to meet and hold talks with Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and other top officials, Seyyed Abbas Mousavi added. 

Senior Spanish diplomat Josep Borrell, who headed the European Parliament for the years 2004-2005 and Spain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2018-2019, succeeded Federica Mogherini as former EU foreign policy chief this summer and has been active in office since November.
