Tehran (IP) - Iranian president warned the Europeans of dire consequences if they restore to the mechanism that undermines Iran's interests in the nuclear deal.

Iran Press/Iran News: Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani in his weekly meeting of cabinet warned the Europeans of dire consequences if they restore to the mechanism that undermines Iran's interests in the nuclear deal.

"Europeans are saying that in the Iranian nuclear issue, for example, they have taken the fifth step, and we have to take it. The next step you need to take is a return to commitments. We have told the Europeans this explicitly. I have made it clear to two of the European leaders that we spoke with these days that what we did was irreversible," Rouhani stressed.

"Secondly, everything we do in the nuclear arena is under IAEA supervision," Rouhani said, went on saying that "So the talk that Iran is seeking nuclear weapons is a baseless talk that please do not repeat."

"Iran is implementing safeguard agreement and protocols, and the IAEA's representatives and inspectors are easily present here," he said, adding that "Their cameras are at our enrichment centers."

Rouhani said, "If Europeans make a mistake, they will lose. They must choose the right path. The right way is to go back to the JCPOA. I do not know how the UK Prime Minister in London thinks he is saying to put aside the JCPOA and implement the Trump plan. Trump has done nothing but violates international laws."

Addressing the cabinet, the president said that we have retaliated the assassination of Lt. Gen. Qasem Soleimani but the big punishment will be the expelling of the US from the whole region.

Pointing out to the sad incident of the Ukrainian plane crash, He added, "We have to revise on the regulations, this unacceptable and very unfortunate error has occurred and we have to assure the world, it will not happen again in Iran."

Rouhani added, "It was unexpected for us to target a plane with passengers from different nationalities especially our Iranians, by a missile, and we didn't think such a mistake would happen."

"Of course, those who made mistakes are the ones who have always strived for national security," he added.

Rouhani went on saying that "But at the same time, we have a big retaliation, and the nations of the region are trying to get America out of the region," Rouhani said, adding that "As the Iraqi parliament has done, and as other nations have in their minds, that may not be a short-time goal, but we must pursue it."

President Rouhani noted, "We do not need to weaken the armed forces that are needed for the security of the country. The weakening of our armed forces is a mistake. Our forces should reassure people." 101/212
