Tehran (IP) - Iran and Oman agreement on maritime transportation, facilitates the trade and provides better conditions for the two countries' fleets, Iran's head of Port and Maritime Organization (PMO) said.

Iran Press/Iran news: On the sidelines of Iran-Oman maritime transportation agreement, Mohammad Rastad, Port and Maritime Organization's (PMO) head in an exclusive interview with IP stated that we are trying to expand trade and maritime transportation with regional countries.

Mohammad Rastad reiterated, one of the countries which we have got a rather long history of cooperation is Oman, so the signing of the agreement on maritime transportation, facilitates improve our cooperation in the port and maritime field. Indeed, we have started the process three years ago and today it has been finalized.

"The agreement signed between the Ministry of Road and Urban Development of Iran and Oman's Industry and Trade Ministry," head of PMO went on.

We believe that the materials of this agreement facilitate the trade and support the fleets of both countries and provides better conditions for both sides' ships, Rastad added.

"Since we are going to expand our export to our neighboring countries, I think this agreement somehow encourages the trade of both countries to have a better atmosphere for mutual cooperation," he said. 205/201
