Iran's minister of health and the managing director of the 'Melal' economic development group signed a contract on Sunday, for construction, modernization and extension of several hospitals in Tehran and in Western Iran.

Speaking on the sideline of the signing ceremony in Tehran on Sunday, Hassan Ghazizadeh Hashemi,  Iran's health minister stressed that the letter of agreement (or contract) signed today, means that the health ministry and Melal economic development group ( a subsidiary of Melal credit institution) will cooperate with one another on three different construction projects.

Ghazizadeh Hashemi added:  "The three projects are: the development and modernization of Tajrish hospital, the development and modernization of Imam Khomeini hospital, and the construction of a  new well-equipped hospital in Western Iran".

For his part, Seyyed Amin Javadi, the managing director of Melal economic development group , emphasized that the agreement signed today, between his company and the health ministry , means they will be partners in the construction of a large new teaching (university) hospital in Western Iran with 750 beds.
