Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and the Netherlands’ top diplomat Wopke Hoekstra underlined Tehran and Amsterdam's willingness to expand bilateral relations.

Iran PressIran News: Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and Wopke Hoekstra, during a telephone conversation initiated by the Dutch side, held talks about the most important issues of mutual interest at the bilateral and international levels.

Amir-Abdollahian referred to the 400 years of diplomatic relations between Iran and the Netherlands and underlined Tehran’s readiness to boost cooperation with Amsterdam in different spheres more than ever before.

The Iranian foreign minister also congratulated the Dutch government and people on Christmas.

For his part, the Dutch foreign minister pointed to the historical relations between the two countries and underlined his country’s determination to continue bilateral talks over political and consular issues. He said the Netherlands is ready for political consultations with Iran.

Hoekstra congratulated the people and government of Iran, especially Christians, on the arrival of the New Year.
