Iran Press / Iran news: The Sweden court issued a life sentence verdict for Hamid Nouri, an Iranian national arrested for charges brought by the terrorist MKO group.
"Hamid Nouri," an Iranian citizen, was arrested by Sweden's security forces on November 9, 2019, upon his arrival to Sweden to follow up on family issues.
The Spokesman of MFA, Nasser Kanaani, said on Thursday in response to a media statement of the Swedish court said the Swedish government hedged to explain why it allowed a terrorist group, MKO, to have activities in the country and practically promote terrorism.
Kanaani noted that it was clear to Iran that Nouri's case was just a pretext for a politicized act that lacked legal propriety and real document.
The MKO group's demagogy today in Stockholm showed that they were seeking to impose their desire on the court to issue a verdict in favor of them, something that the Swedish court realized, he said.

The spokesman stressed that Iran rejected the Swedish court against the Iranian citizen and held Sweden accountable for the damages caused to the bilateral relations.
After his arrest, against all international laws, Nouri was not allowed to contact his family for four months, and the Swedish judicial system also did not allow Nouri, who is kept in solitary confinement, to meet his family in person for two years. While his family traveled to Sweden several times to meet him, it was impossible to meet him.
Hamid Nouri is jailed because some MKO members say he was once their warden when they were in prison in Iran.
MKO (Mojahedin Khalgh Organization) is a terrorist group that rebelled against the Islamic Republic of Iran short after the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
Mojahedin Khalgh assassinated over 17,000 Iranian people from different walks of life.
