China (IP) - The Iranian-Chinese joint consular commission was held in Beijing in order to facilitate the visa issuance process between the two countries.

Iran PressAsia: The commission was held in China after a 6-year pause thanks to the efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Ambassador to Beijing and now an Iranian delegation is in the country for the relevant talks.

The Director-General of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Consular Affairs told Iran Press correspondent in Beijing that important issues, such as facilitating the issuance of visas for Iranian businessmen, students, and Iranian tourists, were addressed in the commission.

Alireza Mahmoudi mentioned other issues, including the swap of prisoners and convicts and Iranian students' banking accounts as other important issues that were addressed to promote the bilateral consular relations.
