Iran Press/ Iran news: Mohammad Hassan Zibakhsh said: "We will not have any flights to Afghanistan until further notice and all flights to this country have been suspended."
Zibakhsh added: "Regarding the developments in Afghanistan and the sky insecurity and the general situation of the country, the Islamic Republic of Iran would never have any flight to Afghanistan until further notice."
Expressing hope about the restoration of the security to Afghanistan, Zibakhsh said that he was hopeful that as the general situation in this country would return to normal, the flights of Iranian airlines to Afghanistan would be resumed as soon as possible.
Before the developments in Afghanistan, Iranian airlines operated five scheduled flights a week from Tehran's Imam Khomeini and Shahid Hasheminejad airports in Mashhad, all of which have now been suspended.
