Tehran(IP): In a phone call with the President of Iran, Nikol Pashinyan announced his desire for an urgent conversation with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to reduce tensions.

Iran PressIran News:  According to Iran press, the Armenian "News" website reported a few minutes ago, citing the press office of the Prime Minister of Armenia, about the telephone conversation between Nikol Pashinyan and Ayatollah Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In this telephone conversation, issues related to the situation in the region, especially the intensification of the humanitarian crisis in the Nagorno-Karabakh region due to the blocking of the Lachin corridor, the gathering of Azerbaijan forces around this region, and the escalating tension on the border between the two countries, were discussed.

Pashinyan, while re-announcing adherence to the Prague agreement on October 6, 2022 and Brussels on May 14, 2023, emphasized solving issues through diplomatic methods and in a constructive atmosphere.

The Prime Minister of Armenia also expressed his desire for urgent talks with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in order to reduce tensions.

In this phone call, issues related to the bilateral agenda under the relations between Armenia and Iran were also discussed.
