Tehran (IP) - The Iranian Vice President for Science, Technology, and Kowledge-based Economy reported the establishment of a joint technology park between Iran and Uzbekistan.

Iran PressIran news: As Rouhollah Dehghani told Iran Press on Wednesday, the science and technology park will be launched in Samarkand city of Uzbekistan in the late summer of 2024 with the participation of two countries' private sector investment.

The science and technology park will include knowledge-based unites and startups. The complex was supposed to be launched in the current Persian year but it was delayed because the relevant minister in Uzbekistan changed. 

Preliminary stages of the project and the relevant consultations between the two countries will begin in the next two months, and both sides will be obliged to provide the necessary infrastructure and to established the park, Dehghani said.
