Iran Press/Iran news: The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs spoke on the phone with Hakan Fidan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, about the latest developments related to the martyrdom of Mr. Ismail Haniyeh by the Zionist regime.

According to Mehr news agency, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Bagheri talked and consulted with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on the phone about the latest developments related to the martyrdom of Mr. Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) by the Zionist regime.

Appreciating the presence of the Turkish Foreign Minister at the inauguration ceremony of our country's president, the head of the diplomatic service expressed hope that the relations between the two countries will develop further in the new government.

Referring to the barbaric crimes of the Zionist occupation regime regarding the martyrdom of Mr. Ismail Haniyeh, he said: The Zionist regime, with a serious violation of the territorial integrity and national security of the Islamic Republic of Iran, martyred Mr. Haniyeh, a prominent figure in the Islamic world and a tireless fighter of the Palestinian resistance.

He emphasized: This terrorist act is against international law and contrary to the principles of the United Nations Charter, and it will face serious risks to regional security and stability, and the Islamic Republic of Iran has its inherent and legitimate right to respond decisively and regretfully. The perpetrator will definitely not be spared for this obvious crime.

Bagheri stated: It is necessary to hold an extraordinary meeting of the UN Security Council and an emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to deal with the assassination of the prominent leader of the Palestinian resistance and the violation of national security, national sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He also added: It is necessary for all countries in the region to condemn this heinous crime and take decisive measures to counter the terrorist actions of the Zionist regime.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan also expressed his condolences to the Muslim world for Mr. Haniyeh's martyrdom and condemned the terrorist act of the Zionist regime in flagrant violation of the red lines and territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran. We fully support Islamic cooperation and Turkey also mourns the martyrdom of this outstanding leader of the Palestinian resistance.203
