Iran Press/Asia: According to a report by Iran Press from Islamabad, the Standing Committee on Science and Technology of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMSTECH) in Islamabad issued a statement saying: “This academy will be established with the aim of training and developing skilled manpower to manage science and technology parks in the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation through the joint efforts of COMSTECH and the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
The MoU was signed by Iqbal Chaudhry, Head of COMSTECH Headquarters in Pakistan, and Mehdi Safarinia, Head of Pardis Technology Park of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
As the scientific and technological arm of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, COMSTECH plays a key role in enhancing the capabilities of member states to benefit from science and technology.
This organization strives to reduce the scientific gap between member countries and the advanced world by providing educational programs, scientific exchange, supporting research projects, and developing science and technology parks.
Iran and Pakistan, as two leading countries in the Islamic world, play a prominent role in advancing COMSTEC's goals.
Iran, with its scientific power and advanced infrastructure, including numerous science and technology parks and high academic capacity, has always been a key partner in COMSTEC's scientific projects.
Pardis Technology Park, the largest technology park in Iran, is a successful example of the advanced infrastructure that Iran offers to strengthen scientific and technological cooperation.
