Iran Press/Europe: According to the Iran Press news agency, Igor Sergeenko, Speaker of House of Representatives of National Assembly of Belarus, met and talked with Qalibaf, the speaker of Iran's Parliament, on the sidelines of the meeting of the leaders of the BRICS parliaments.
Ghalibaf, while thanking for the congratulatory message of the Speaker of the Belarusian Parliament for the chairmanship of the parliament and the message of condolence and sympathy for the martyrdom of President Raisi, said:
"With the guidance of the supreme leader July 30, 2024 is the inauguration ceremony and the beginning of the new government.
He continued: "Iran's and Belarus' views and perspectives are close to each other and we have good opportunities in the field of trade at the level of international issues and bilateral relations."
Stating that parliaments and governments should work for the development of business issues, the Speaker emphasized: "Parliaments can facilitate the development of economic relations by passing laws."
While congratulating Ghalibaf on his re-election as Speaker of ran's Parliament, Igor Sergeenko, the Speaker of the Belarusian Parliament, said: "The foreign policy and policy of the Republic of Belarus are consistent with the policies of the Republic of Iran."
Stating that we actively started working in the BRICS and Shanghai structures and are looking for new interactions based on mutual respect, he said: "Although the relations between the two countries are expanding, we need more serious activities to implement the agreements."
The Speaker of the Parliament of Belarus added:
"The tragic incident of the martyrdom of President Raisi and the stability of Iran after that showed that the political system of the Islamic Republic of Iran was built in such a way that it could function successfully even in crisis situations."
