Iran Press/ Iran News: Azadegan non-coplanar intersection, the first phase of the Kashfrood Park ecosystem, and the 500-hectare forest park in the southern heights of Mashhad were put into operation with the aim of developing this tourist-attracting metropolis in two parts: pilgrimage-tourism and urban facilities improvement.
VP said at the inauguration ceremony the transfer of urban management to the people has been one of the successes of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Jahangiri noted that although the environment and health should be a priority for the people and governments, the Kashfrood is becoming a place for the health and vitality of the people of Mashhad.
The first vice president also said that serious work needed to be done to build the metro in the metropolises, and that $2 billion had been borrowed from China to complete the metropolitan metro line, but that sanctions prevented it. Jahangiri stated that now the way is open and national resources can be used to complete subway lines in the big cities.
The first phase of the Azadegan non-coplanar intersection project has been inaugurated on four levels with an investment of 400 billion Tomans and has eliminated traffic jams, especially at the entrance of Mashhad.
In this project, more than 25,000 square meters of green space have been created.
