Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), and Ziad al-Nakhaleh, secretary-general of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, met in Beirut on Wednesday night.

Iran Press/Middle East"Ismail Haniyeh" and "Ziad Al-Nakhaleh" discussed the developments in the region, Palestine and the Gaza Strip.

In the meantime; Osama Hamdan, a senior member of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, told Al-Mayadin that a meeting of Palestinian groups would be held in Beirut with the aim of uniting Palestinian efforts to counter the normalization process with the Zionist regime and the aggressors.

Following US President Donald Trump's efforts to facilitate the normalization of relations between the Arab regimes and the Zionist regime, the UAE and Israel agreed on 13 August on the full normalization of diplomatic relations.

This agreement has been widely criticized in the Muslim World.

According to Osama Hamdan, the head of Hamas' political bureau in Lebanon, he is also scheduled to meet with Lebanese Hezbollah Secretary General Seyed Hassan Nasrallah.

Hamdan called the relations between Hamas and Hezbollah in Lebanon strategic, adding that the options of resistance against the occupiers still remain.
