Tehran (IP) - Hamedan-Sanandaj Railway that links Sanandaj to Iran's rail network will be inaugurated in the next few months.

Iran PressIran news: The news was announced during the meeting of the members of the Kurdistan Assembly of Representatives with the Governor of the Province and Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Mehrdad Bazrpash. 

Moreover, the development of the Bashmaq Border Terminal, completion of the north-south road corridor within the boundaries of Kurdistan Province, completion and opening of the Saqqez Airport, and acceleration of the National Housing Movement were also discussed in the meeting. 

Studies for the Tehran-Hamadan-Sanandaj Railway project were completed in 2004, and the implementation of this project began in 2005. Iran's 13th government placed a high priority on the completion and operation of this project. 

The Hamadan-Sanandaj Railway project is 151 kilometers long, with seven stations, including three traffic stations and four passenger stations in Qorve, Dehgolan, and Sanandaj.
