Iran Press/ Europe: The RKI reports 61,859 new corona infections and 144 deaths within one day. Meanwhile, Federal Minister of Health Karl Lauterbach warns against a return of the more dangerous Delta variant.
According to the Robert Koch Institute, the nationwide seven-day incidence continues to fall. On Saturday morning, the value is given as 477.0. The day before, the value of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week was 485.7 (previous week: 544.0; last month: 1015.7).
This figure demonstrates new infections by the coronavirus in every 100,000 people within a week.
The RKI has counted 25,723,697 proven infections with Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic. The total number is likely to be significantly higher, as many infections go undetected.
