Herbert McMaster

Former National Security Adviser of US President Donald Trump stated that the US government's approach towards Afghanistan's peace talks is against the government of Afghan President Ashraf Ghani.

Iran PressAmerica: Herbert McMaster, Trump's former national security adviser, acknowledged that the current US president's policy towards Afghanistan and the peace talks in Qatar are against the Ashraf Ghani administration.

Earlier, Hamdullah Mohib, Afghanistan's national security adviser, said: "Washington is trying to form an interim government and weaken the Afghan government by marginalizing Kabul in the talks."

Experts believe that peace in Afghanistan is not important to Trump, and he is pretending to try to get the US troops out of the country completely for electoral and to deceive public opinion for the upcoming US presidential election.

The Afghan government and the Taliban are set to discuss the ceasefire, Afghanistan's future political system, the division of power, and how to integrate the Taliban into the country's security forces.
