According to the Iranian foreign ministry spokesman, Bahram Ghasemi, Zarif will visit India to discuss the latest developments in bilateral relations and pave the way for expanding and deepening of ties between Tehran and new Delhi.
According to Ghasemi, the Iranian delegation will also discuss latest regional and international developments with Indian officials.
The bilateral ties between Tehran and New Delhi have expanded dramatically in recent years, and the two countries are cooperating in different political and economic fields, especially with regards to energy and transportation.
During President Hassan Rouhani’s visit to India last February, the two countries signed 15 memoranda of understanding to further deepen bilateral cooperation.
Iran and India have enjoyed friendly political, and economic relations, and have closely cooperated in energy and transportation.
