Tehran (IP) - Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian briefed members of the parliament (Majlis) national security and foreign policy commission on the latest developments in Iran's foreign policy and international relations.

Iran PressIran news: A seminar was held on Tuesday by members of the Iranian Parliament's national security and foreign policy commission and Amir-Abdollahian as well as Foreign Ministry senior directors.

In the meeting, Amir-Abdollahian briefed the MPs on the latest developments in Iran's foreign policy and international relations.

The lawmakers were also provided with a report on the results and achievements of the foreign minister's visit to Beijing and rapprochement talks with Saudi Arabia, security negotiations with Iraq, the efforts of the Foreign Ministry to manage ties with the Republic of Azerbaijan, relations with Afghanistan in terms of fighting terrorism, border security and the war on drugs as well as measures related to Iranian nationals living abroad.

They shared with the Foreign Ministry's senior directors their views regarding different issues of foreign policy and relations.

The deputy foreign minister for economic diplomacy and several other senior Foreign Ministry officials also shared their views.

At the end of the seminar, Amir-Abdollahian thanked the parliamentarians for sharing their views and underlined the need for the continuation of consultations between the Foreign Ministry and parliament.
