Iran Press/ Asia: May 15, is named the Day of Ferdowsi and the Day of Persian Language and Literature to honor the great Iranian epic poet Hakim Abolqasem Ferdowsi.
Delivering a speech at the ceremony, the Deputy Chancellor of the University for Educational Affairs Morat Babagholi Annayev referred to Ferdowsi as the great Iranian poet and Makhtum Qoli as the great Turkmen poet, who are highly respected in the world.
Annayev mentioned the Shahnameh as a masterpiece in the world, which is full of moral teachings.
He pointed to the cultural commonalities and relations between the two neighboring countries and said that relations between Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran have expanded in all fields.
The Cultural Attache of Iran Navid Rasouli, for his part, said the development of cultural relations between nations is achieved based on a better understanding of each other, where the university plays an important.
