Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Gholamreza Ansari commenting on EU financial mechanism for trade with Iran, Known as INSTEX, said it is in the early stages, Europeans are trying to launch this mechanism of financial transactions with commodities such as humanitarian goods, drugs, and agricultural products.

Iran PressIran news: In an interview with Iran Press, Ansari said INSTEX (The Instrument in Support of Trade Exchanges)  is in the early stages and added, "We see Europe's efforts to find a mechanism to trade in goods such as humanitarian aid, pharmaceuticals and agricultural products."

INSTEX was set up to try to enable legitimate trade with Iran to continue without falling foul of US sanctions.

"Europeans are trying to analyze how this mechanism works so that we can work together and consult with each other and other countries to make this channel operational based on its main goal," he said.

According to Ansari, the main goal of the channel is the free exchange of all goods, including oil between Iran and Europe.
