Chief spokesman for the Russian Ministry of Defense Major General Igor Konashenkov revealed terrorists plot for chemical attack in Idlib  in order to blame Syrian Army.

Iran Press/Europe: Chief spokesman for the Russian Ministry of Defense Major General Igor Konashenkov on Saturday revealed reliable information confirming that terrorist organizations in Idlib completed all preparations to stage a new chemical incident in order to blame Syrian Army.

Chief spokesman for the Russian Ministry of Defense added that the Ministry has information confirming that a meeting took place in Idlib city between leaders of terrorists of Jabhat al-Nusra and the “Turkistani Party” and representatives of the “White Helmets.”

In 20. Mar, 2017, Syrian President Bashar Assad has hit out at the controversial nonprofit White Helmets, calling it a front for Islamic terrorism, and saying they are an example of Western narratives grotesquely distorting the truth about the conflict in the country.

Again in Jul. 27, Syrian president Bashar Assad said that White Helmets are a mask for terrorists and will be killed if they don’t surrender.

Konashenkov said that during this meeting, they coordinated for the scenarios for the filming of staged incidents involving the alleged use of toxic substances against civilians in the areas of Jisr al-Shughour, Saraqeb, Taftanaz, and Sarmin.

Chief spokesman for the Russian Ministry of Defense said that information shows that all participants involved in carrying out staged provocations will be ready to carry out this plan by the evening of September 8th, and that they are waiting a signal from a foreign side to begin carrying out this act Idlib.

In Sep. 06, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov emphasised that only the Syrian people can decide the future of their country, stressing the fact that the US behaviour towards Idlib indicates that it wants to protect Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist outfit.

Also, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said During the United Nations 2018 International Media Seminar on Peace in the Middle East that "We have killed, we are killing and we will kill terrorists...whether that be in Aleppo, Idlib or other parts of Syria. Peace must return to Syria."
