Iran is taking part with two feature films in the 40th Moscow International Film Festival.

The event was opened with a message from President Vladimir Putin on Friday. Some 239 films are to be screened for the audience during the event.

According to Russian media the jury of the festival is made up of Actress Nastassja Kinski (Germany), Director Anna Melikyan (Russia), Actor John Savage (USA) and Director Liang Qiao (China). Italian Producer Paolo Del Brocco serves as chairman of the jury.

The main program includes 16 motion pictures including 'Naples in Veils' that opened the film festival. The Canadian criminal drama 'Identity' directed by Samuel Thivierge will wrap up the festival, Russian media reported.
