Iran Press/ Asia: Resorting to the dispute resolution mechanism in the nuclear agreement was legally unfounded and politically a strategic mistake, he told German Minister of State of Federal Foreign Office Niels Annen on the sidelines of a conference in New Delhi late on Tuesday, according to the Iranian Foreign Ministry's website.
Annen said relations with Iran are important for Europeans adding that Europe supports the 2015 nuclear deal and the E3 statement on Tuesday did intend to harm the deal.
Alleging that Iran is not committed to its obligations, France, Germany and the UK launched the dispute mechanism in the Iran nuclear agreement known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
The E3 said it won't impose the unilateral 'maximum pressure' sanctions of US President Donald Trump who withdrew from the deal in 2018. Iran reciprocated by scaling back its commitments under the deal.
Zarif arrived in New Delhi on Tuesday on a 3-day visit to attend in the 5th edition of the annual Raisina Dialogue slated on January 14-16, 2020.
Addressing the meeting and holding talks with high-ranking attendees is on the agenda of Iran's top diplomat.

The Raisina Dialogue is a multilateral conference committed to addressing the most challenging issues facing the global community.
