Iran's Secretary of Supreme National Security Council in a meeting with chief of Iraqi intelligence service stressed that forming a strong and efficient government of Iraq based on the vote of the people is Iran's constant desire.

Iran Press/Middle East: Iran's Secretary of Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani in a meeting with head of Iraq's intelligence service Mustafa al-Kadhimi , referred to latest developments in Iraq within last few months saying that regarding the Iraqi political situation, the role of the intelligence and security organizations to manage the current situation is very important and complex.

Referring to the fact that Iraqi political and security developments will have effect on the regional stability and peace, Shamkhani highlighted that Iran is ready to transfer the security and intelligence experience with Iraqi different organizations.

Iran's senior official pointed to the assassination of the commanders of the Resistance Front, Lt. Gen. Qasem Soleimani, the Late Commander IRGC Quds Force, and the Deputy Commander of the the Iraqi PMU, Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes, by Americans, said that the US criminal act will end up with their expulsion.

Iraqi intelligence chief Mustafa al-Kadhimi praised the Islamic Republic of Iran's effective role in countering terrorism and enhancing stability in the region and inside borders and said Iran's success is due to the Islamic Republic's exclusive security model.

Prior to the meeting, Shamkhani also had met with Iraqi National Security Adviser Faleh Fayyadh.

The representative of the Leader and Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran arrived in Baghdad on Saturday night for a two-day trip to Baghdad.
