Israel attacks Khan Younis

Israeli regime's fighter jets hit Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip in retaliation for firing of two rockets to the occupied lands, Palestinian sources said on Friday.

Iran Press/Middle East: There was no immediate report of casualties, but Israel's disproportionate attacks have killed and wounded civilians in the densely populated Palestinian territory.

Earlier on Friday, the alarms sounded in Zionist settlements in the occupied territories after rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip in retaliation to the brutal attacks by the Zionist regime and the assassination of leaders of Palestinian resistance groups in the Gaza Strip.

Last Wednesday, the Israeli regime carried out a series of airstrikes on the south of the Gaza Strip hitting anti-occupation resistance group al-Qassam battalions in Rafah and Khan Younis on two occasions.

The most recent Israeli crime was committed on November 12 by a Zionist attack on a building in eastern Gaza, which martyred Baha Abu al-Ata a leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad resistance group, along with his wife and a number of other Palestinians.

Following these Zionist attacks, in retaliation, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad also fired more than 340 rockets from Gaza at Zionist settlements.

The retaliatory attack from Gaza came after a day of protests by thousands of Palestinians in the West Bank, in response to a recent US announcement that it no longer believes that Israeli settlements in the West Bank violate international law.
