Tehran(IP): Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in his latest tweet released on Thursday congratulated Iraqi newly elected Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kazemi and his ministers over receiving the vote of confidence by the Iraqi parliament.

Iran Press/Iran news: Iran's top diplomat also extended his congratulations to the Iraqi parliament and "most importantly the people of Iraq for success in forming a new government.

"Iran always stands with the Iraqi people and their choice of administration", stressed Zarif.

The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Baghdad congratulated the new Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kazemi and his ministers for receiving vote of confidence from the Iraqi parliament.

In his twitter account on Thursday, Iraj Masjedi congratulated the Iraqi parliament’s vote of confidence to al-Kazemi's proposed cabinet and wished the new government success in serving the Iraqi people.

The Iraqi Parliament voted on Wednesday night to approve the list of ministerial candidates proposed by Mustafa al-Kazemi, ending weeks of political deadlock.

Out of the 22 nominees proposed by Al-Kadhimi, the Iraqi lawmakers passed 15 ministers and rejecting five others, while postponing decision on Oil and Foreign Affairs Ministries to another time.

The Iraqi new Prime Minister is assigned to prepare the grounds for the early parliamentary election, managing Iraq amid health and economic challenges due to coronavirus and global drop of oil price, and submitting the 2020 budget plan to the parliament, within one year.
