Spokesman of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi informed that Uzbekistan has lifted transit restrictions on Iranian trucks amid coronavirus concerns.

Iran PressIran News: "According to the Iranian embassy in Tashkent, transit restrictions on Iranian trucks in Uzbekistan have been lifted," Seyyed Rouhollah Latifi said on Thursday. 

The Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration spokesman added: "With the decision of the Commission for Combating the Crisis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, transportation restrictions for Iran, Afghanistan, and Italy were lifted with strict observance of health standards."

Turkmenistan closed its borders to all countries, both neighbors and non-neighbors, due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Coronavirus is affecting almost all countries and territories around the world. The virus was first reported in the central Chinese city of Wuhan late last year. 

More than 3.2 million people have been infected by the coronavirus COVID-19 around the world, of which over 229,000 have died.
