Iranian President described the outbreak of coronavirus as a test for the effectiveness of all countries and systems around the world and said that his country is able to export COVID-19 test kits, antibodies.

Iran Press/Iran News: Speaking at a cabinet meeting in Tehran on Wednesday, Hassan Rouhani referred to the novel coronavirus which has become a test for the effectiveness of all countries and systems around the world, saying, “All countries are in fierce competition for containing and treatment, shortening the duration of the disease and, most importantly, preventing the spread of the disease.”

He also emphasized that nowadays Iranian medical workers have gained more experience and expertise to contain the virus.

Rouhani noted the excellent cooperation of the people in reducing intercity travel, especially during the Nowruz holiday which resulted in a significant reduction of the coronavirus cases in the country.

"In the first days of the outbreak, medical staff were concerned that there was not enough equipment, masks, clothing, and respirators, diagnostic kits, and even disinfectants. The public, non-governmental, and private sectors have all worked hard, and today in the field of disinfectants, detergents, and sanitary products, not only can we meet our domestic needs, we can even export part of it to other countries," he said.

He stressed that the fight against coronavirus should not be considered "finished".

Hassan Rouhani highlighted the slowly resuming operation of businesses as a necessary task for the country, adding, “If people follow the health protocols, we will succeed, as we have done so far.”

“Statistics of coronavirus cases have shown that there was no peak in this disease, but if we think the disease is over, this would be the biggest problem that may occur,” he said.

Iran’s President emphasized that these conditions exist until the world reaches a definitive cure for the disease, "so we need to consider health protocols for the next few months," he added.

Rouhani referred to the recent oil price developments, saying: “Each country has relied more on crude oil, has more difficult conditions. But because our reliance on oil has been reduced, willingly or unwillingly, either by our own will or by the imposition of the enemy, our losses will certainly be less.”

"Our economic situation is calmer than the rest of the world," he said, adding, “In the last three months of the year, we have seen growth in the agricultural and industrial sectors, but this growth related to the pre-coronavirus conditions.”

He hoped that the country could maintain growth despite the spread of the virus. 101
