Tehran (IP) - Health Ministry spokesman Kianoush Jahanpour said that Iran's tally of coronavirus cases surpassed 20,000 on Saturday and the number of fatalities rose to 1556.

Iran Press/Iran News: Speaking in a news conference, Kianoush Jahanpour said that 966 new cases have become infected with coronavirus during the past 24 hours.

He noted that 123 more people died because of the novel coronavirus during the past 24 hours.

The Spokesman went on to say that 7635 people have recovered in total since the outbreak of coronavirus in Iran.

Given the latest figures of the Health Ministry, the total number of people diagnosed with the coronavirus has reached 20610 people, out of whom 1556 people died. 101
