Tehran (IP) - Kiyanoush Jahanpour, a spokesman for Iran's Health Ministry announced today at a press conference the number of people who have been infected with the COVID-19 for the past 24 hours.

Iran Press/Iran news: He said 958 cases had been infected with the virus from yesterday until today. He also spoke of the stable situation in Gilan province and expressed hope that the situation would be better.

Jahanpour also said that the total number of people with the disease is 9,000, of whom 2959 have improved, Iran Press reported.

The spokesman for the Ministry of Health also reported the deaths of 63 people who had been infected with the disease over the past 24 hours.

The total death toll in Iran so far is 354.

The latest statistics provided by the Iranian Ministry of Health and Education

According to the latest Iranian official report 8,042 people have been infected with coronavirus and 291 people have lost their lives to the fatal virus.

Also, 2,731 people have recovered and been dismissed from medical centers, which shows a great increase.
