Iranian FM extended condolences over the over pass away of Javier Pérez de Cuéllar

Tehran (IP) - Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in his latest tweet released on Thursday extended his Condolences over the pass away of Former United Nations Secretary-General Javier Pérez de Cuéllar, appreciating his role in Ceasefire of a war imposed by Saddam Hossein.

Iran Press/Iran News: The Iranian Foreign Minister in a tweet extended his condolences over the pass away of the former United Nations secretary, saying:  "Saddened to hear of the passing of Javier Pérez de Cuéllar, UN Secretary-General from 1982 to 91."

Referring to the role played by Late Javier Pérez de Cuéllar in overseeing the end to many conflicts including a cease-fire in the war Saddam Hussein imposed on Iran, Zarif praised him.

Zarif concluded with extending his deep condolences to Pérez de Cuéllar's family.

Peruvian diplomat Javier Pérez de Cuéllar, who played an important role at the end of the eight-year Iran-Iraq war. died on Wednesday 4 March, according to the Peruvian Foreign Ministry.In 1988, he explicitly declared Iraq as the perpetrator of initiating the 8-year imposed war on Iran.
