Tehran (IP) - US President Trump has admitted that the US troops in Syria have the country's oil, the Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif has said in a tweet.

Iran Press/ Iran NewsMohammad Javad Zarif wrote in a tweet on Tuesday that the US President Donald Trump just admitted that the US troops in Syria "have the oil”.

Ealier, Syria's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Bashar al-Jafari had said that the United States has occupied the country's oil wells and is looting oil renews in the shadow of the Security Council's silence.

He added that Trump has also admitted that Russia, Syria, and Iran can fight ISIS, confessing, “Iran hates ISIS”.

"But not only did the US not fight the ISIS, it cowardly murdered its number 1 enemy—with only Trump cronies and ISIS celebrating," said the Iranian Foreign Minister.

Zarif was referring to the assassination of the late Commander of Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Lieutenant-General Qasem Soleimani by the US air-raid in Baghdad on January 3, who had traveled to Iraq on the official invitation of the Iraqi officials.
