Kish (IP) - The first Hackatourism or international marathon of programming in the field of tourism was held in Kish Island for three days.

Iran Press/Iran news: The first international marathon of programming in the field of tourism in 2020 (Hackatourism) was held for three days (February 5-7, 2020) on the campus of the Sharif University of Technology in Kish Island, Hormozgan province, South of Iran.

170 participants from Iranian and Indonesian students in 21 teams competed in this Marathon. The event was held with the aim of crossing traditional Iranian tourism and connecting it to the electronic capabilities.

It is expected that the Hackatourism top works be transferred to the Center for Innovation and Acceleration located in Kish Island in order to produce the final products including mobile and web applications after aligning them with the science and technology field in Iran.

Hackatourism 2020 is the first international marathon of mobile and web programming in the field of tourism. The teams get to know their challenges on the first day and provide solutions to the challenges with the help of coaches who are among the most prominent and experienced in the country.
