Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking at the Conference on the 'Second Phase of the Revolution, the model of a civilizational revolutionary system' on Wednesday, Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said: "The second phase of the revolution statement is an exceptional document and is very important in several ways."
Parliament Speaker added: "After a 40-year period of revolution, this statement was drafted and benefits from past experience. The statement was made by a Leader who himself was one of the key figures of the revolution. Both before and after the revolution. He has led the Islamic Republic of Iran for more than three decades."
Commenting further Larijani said: "The statement outlined the country's direction. Both senior officials and also the people are taking note of this statement. This second step should focus on young people because they have the necessary motivation to transform and bring about change. Young people have always played a key role in organizing the government."
Larijani referred to the importance of hope in society, adding, "In the Islamic Revolution, having hope can make all the difference. Imam Khomeini created hope and inspired people. What the Americans are focusing on is creating rift and despair among the people and saying that the situation in the country is really bad. This is what the Americans are doing and the Leader has referred to that in the statement of the second phase of the revolution."
"The Islamic Revolution has an outstanding record of great achievements thanks to the leadership and guidance of Ayatollah Khamenei on strategic issues. The Americans are focusing on Iran's missiles and Iran's policies in the region, precisely because the Islamic Republic is influential, with great power and clout. We do not interfere in regional matters and we have a presence in the region only in those countries who have asked us for assistance," Larijani added.
The International Conference on the 'Second Phase of the Revolution, the model of the civilizational revolutionary system' kicked off on Wednesday at IRIB International Conference Center in Tehran.
