Iran Press/Iran news: Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Seyyed Abbas Mousavi said late Sunday that he was pleased that Lebanese groups had agreed to form a new government, adding given the regional and international conditions, the move was a positive step forward in addressing Lebanese people's demands.
Mousavi expressed hope that the new Lebanese government would be able to fulfill the aspirations of its people, who have great honors, including resistance to occupation, bullying, and domination system.
The Iranian diplomat went on to say that Tehran hopes that the new Lebanese government, formed at the will of the people, will be able to overcome all challenges by consolidating national unity and realizing its plans for Lebanon's comprehensive development, security, and prosperity.
Mousavi reaffirmed Iran's readiness to expand relations between the two countries, announcing Iran's full support for the new Lebanese government.
