Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif has criticized European signatories -- France, Germany, and the UK -- to the nuclear agreement with Iran for their bowing to US pressures.

Iran Press/Iran news: "For 20 months, the E3-following UK appeasement policy-has bowed to US diktat. That hasn't gotten it anywhere-and it never will," he wrote in a message on his Twitter account on Tuesday.

Following anti-Iran remarks by E3 officials, he urged them to carry out their obligations.

"E3 can save JCPOA but not by appeasing the bully & pressuring the complying party," he added, "Rather it should muster the courage to fulfill its own obligations."

US withdrew unilaterally from the deal in 2018 and re-imposed sanctions on Iran, the E3 failed to carry out its obligations under the deal. Therefore, Iran took retaliatory actions and incrementally scaled back from is obligations.

In a separate tweet, Iran's top diplomat slammed British policies against Iran as blindly parroting those of the US.

"Diplomatic malpractice? UK is parroting US line & blindly abetting its terrorist adventurism in our region."

Zarif also cautioned London for being towed away by the US and wrote: "The last time UK was dragged along to infamy by the US was in Iraq war. How did that work out?"

The Iranian foreign minister suggested the British officials to correct their policies by paying back the money they owe to Tehran over arms deals.

"Take the honorable path for a change: settle court-ordered debt to Iranians," he said.
