Iran Press/Iran News: The earthquake which has occurred at a depth of 10 km in the ground hit cities of shoosh, Andimeshk and Shooshtar in Khuzestan province as well.
There have been no immediate reports about damage or casualties due to the earthquake.
Iran's Director General for crisis staff, In South Western Iran Kiamars Haji zadeh said in an exclusive telephone interview with Iran press said that on Sunday some earth quakes with the magnitude of 3 and 3.5 according to Richter scale shook S?land the last of which was a 5-magnitue one.
Haji zadeh went on to highlight that all of the managers, the rescue teams in Khuzestan as well as the governors of Dezful and Andimeshk counties were put on high alert via phone call. Iran's Director-General for crisis staff in Khuzestan stressed that the evaluation teams including the rescue teams as well as those in charge of damage assessment like the representatives of Iran's housing Foundation have been sent to the earthquake-hit area.
Haji Zadeh explained further that luckily in spite of the 5-magnitude Earthquake no casualties or financial damage has been reported.
" All Of the service providing organization in Khuzestan province have been put on alert," concluded Iran's Director-General for crisis staff.
