The Chairman of the Iranian Elections Headquarters said that the candidate's enrolment has raised by 29 percent compared to the previous rounds.

Iran Press/Iran news: At a press conference on Sunday, Jamal Orf stated that 16,000 people have already enrolled.

He also referred to the candidates for the Assembly of Experts' elections, saying that 81 individuals have enrolled.

Orf said the final reports on the enrolments will be announced.

The 11th round of parliamentary elections in Iran was slated for Feb. 21, 2020, four years after the previous one in 2016.

The enrolment process started as of December 1 and ended on December 7.
