Establishment of Iran-EAEU trade office in Armenia

President of the Republic of Armenia's Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced establishing the Iran-Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) trade office in Yerevan.

Iran Press/Iran news: "The purpose of the office is to hold a permanent exhibition of Iranian products and introduce them to those interested in cooperating with Iran," Martin Sargsyan said in a meeting with Chairman of Iran's Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture Gholamhossein Shafei today in Tehran.

He also referred to the interest of Armenian companies in developing trade with Iran, stressing that: "Iranian companies can transfer part of their production line to Armenia and export their products to Eurasia market without customs duties." 

Martin Sargsyan highlighted Iran's assistance when Armenia was under sanctions, saying that Armenia will never forget Iran's help.

The chairman of Iran's Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, for his part, mentioned various areas of cooperation between Iran and Armenia.

"Transport and transit is an area where both countries can focus on increasing the level of relations between Eurasian countries," he said.
