Iran's President emphasized to besiege all the facilities for earthquake relief and resettlement in northwestern of the country.

Iran Press/Iran News: Iran's President, Hassan  Rouhani,  on Friday made a phone call to the governor-general of East Azerbaijan, expressed condolence on the death of some of the compatriots in the earthquake in Mianeh, East Azarbaijan, and also emphasized to mobilize all facilities in earthquake-hit areas, Iran Press reported.

The governor-general of East Azerbaijan, Mohammad Reza Pourmohammadi also reported to the president on the latest state of the province's earthquake-hit areas and the damages and casualties.

A 5.9 earthquake on Richter scale which shook the city of Tark in the northwestern province of East Azarbaijan in the early hours of Friday claimed the lives of five people. The quake was also easily felt in other parts of northwest Iran including West Azarbaijan, Gilan, Zanjan and Ardabil provinces.

According to the head of the East Azarbaijan Center for Medical Assistance and Emergencies Farzad Rahmani, so far five people have lost their lives in the earthquake.
