Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyed Abbas Mousavi

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman lashed out at his US counterpart who had claimed Tehran's fourth step in reducing its commitments under the JCPOA was undermining the security of its neighbors.

Iran Press/Iran News: "Isn't it a little too awkward to hear these words from a regime which is indeed the leadership of outlawry & unilateralism, ... and the creator, supporter & sponsor of terrorism?!," Seyed Abbas Mousavi wrote in a post on his Twitter account on Thursday.

He was responding to US State Department Spokesperson Morgan Ortagus in which she said the US urges all nations to "increase pressure on Iran".

"Your maximum pressure is neutralized by our maximum resilience, discretion, and hope," Mousavi wrote last Saturday in response to US sanctions against Iran's construction sector.

"We will pass these difficult stages with honor as we have in the past four decades until you learn to speak respectfully with the Iranian nation and return to your commitments," he said.
