Energy subsidies and dependence on oil revenues will be discussed on Parliament

Tehran (IP) - Reducing energy subsidies and dependence on oil revenues will be discussed by MPs and Ministers in the Iranian parliament on Monday behind the closed doors.

Iran PressIran News: Issues such as hidden energy subsidies, crude oil exports, and a gradual reduction in budget dependence on oil revenues will be discussed at the session.

The Iranian MPs will discuss the subjects with attendance of Majlis president Ali Larijani and related government ministers.

Minister of Industry, Mines and Business Reza Rahmani, Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, Farhad Dejpasand, Minister of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare, Mohammad Shariatmadari, Minister of Oil, Bijan Namdar Zanganeh, Minister of Energy Reza Ardakanian, and Vice-President and Head of Plan and Budget Organisation, Mohammad Bagher Nobakht will attend the meeting, Iran Press reported.

The agenda of the session is to examine the hidden and explicit energy subsidies and how the subsidies will be paid.
